Terry Gachie

Country Director

I am a passionate advocate for comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) with a strong focus on the continuum of care and equitable access. My expertise and passion lie in building systems that support health information and education for informed decision making, narrative change for social transformation, strengthening linkages to healthcare systems, and leveraging digital innovation to enhance healthcare delivery. My vision is a world where all can access comprehensive, dignified, and equitable SRHR healthcare, confidently claim rights, and actively contribute to the design of systems that address challenges faced.


Finance Officer

Ruth Mogire is a Finance and Administration Manager with over 12 years of experience in financial management, audit, and administration. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K). Ruth has worked in both the construction and non-profit sectors, gaining extensive experience in budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and organizational audits. Currently serving in an NGO, she has successfully led the implementation of proper accounting standards, significantly improving transparency, internal controls, and donor confidence.She is passionate about building efficient financial systems and supporting sustainable organizational growth through sound financial practices and integrity.


Christine Wanjohi

Digital Engagement Officer

Christine Wanjohi is a digital moderator with AMT (Love Matters Kenya). This online platform engages young people in meaningful conversations around Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Her role involves facilitating safe, respectful, and inclusive discussions, especially on taboo topics such as bodily autonomy, contraception, and sexuality, with a particular focus on marginalized sexual and gender minorities. Through her work, Christine helps counter misinformation, debunk harmful myths, and ensure that the digital space is informative and empowering. She believes that everyone deserves access to accurate SRHR information, support in their reproductive choices, and the freedom to make informed decisions about their bodies. Christine views moderation not just as a digital task but as a critical component of sustaining dialogue, breaking down stigma, and building virtual communities where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported.

M&E Specialist

With experience in both international and local NGOs, including startups. Possesses in-depth knowledge in developing and implementing MEL strategies that effectively track, document, and report progress and achievements. Also has expertise in designing and managing MEL frameworks and tools that support the proper documentation of implementation progress, findings, lessons learned, best practices, innovations, and recommendations, ultimately facilitating data-driven decision-making.


Michael Okun Oliech

Social Media Editor

Michael Okun Oliech is the Social Media Editor at Africa Media Trust, where he leads the organization’s digital storytelling and online engagement strategies. With over a decade of experience in digital communications, Michael specializes in creating compelling, youth-centered content that drives social change, especially in the areas of health, gender justice, and human rights. He is passionate about using social media as a tool to amplify community voices, challenge harmful norms, and promote accurate, relatable information. At Africa Media Trust, he curates impactful narratives that spark conversations and empower young people


Annrose Kibutha

Board member

Is a Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Specialist with a bias towards vulnerable Adolescent Girls & Young Women. I have over 15 years’ experience leading implementation of multiple award winning, multi-year and result oriented projects. The last eight years were spent in designing, developing and implementing girl centered programs. I have extensive experience in all aspects of grant management. My desire is to see Adolescent Girls & Young Women empowered to transform their lives for a better future.



Martin Barasa

Board member

A seasoned banker for the last 10 years and a business trainer in financial literacy. I am well acquitted with financial knowledge in general banking, credit, and lending skills. I am acquitted with skills in creating linkages between financial institutions, private business entities, and financial institutions. I have over 10 years of experience in partnership building and business networking. Grown to the level of Senior Commercial relationship officer, currently working with I&M Bank Limited- Kitale branch. Prior to joining I&M, I worked as agent Trainer for Diamond Trust Bank Limited and Equity Bank respectively.
